Bowling Green Municipal Utilities (BGMU) is currently accepting proposals for Influent Screening System for the Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion and Renovation. The Proposer shall furnish all necessary parts and materials for the Influent Screening System to be installed by others. The successful Proposer must provide start-up services and operation and maintenance training.
The Influent Screening System provided in this proposal will consist of two (2) fine screening band screens to capture solids from raw wastewater. The screening system will be designed to accommodate peak flows of 14 MGD per screen. Screen opening size will be 3 mm. Each band screen system will be a self-contained, self-cleaning unit primarily constructed of 316 stainless steel. The band screen system will convey screenings to a conditioning system, where they will be ground, washed, and compacted. The screening conditioning system will consist of two (2) self contained units primarily constructed of 316 stainless steel. The proposal shall include an additive alternate for an optional screenings bagging system.

Bowling Green Municipal Utilities (BGMU) is currently accepting proposals for a Submersible Influent Pumping System for the Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion and Renovation. The Proposer shall furnish all necessary parts and materials for the Submersible Influent Pumping System to be installed by others. The successful Proposer must provide start-up services and operation and maintenance training.
The influent submersible pumps provided in this proposal will consist of four (4) factory assembled, factory tested, heavy duty, centrifugal, non-clog units capable of pumping raw, unscreened wastewater. The pumping system will be designed to pump peak flows of approximately 28 MGD at 58 ft TDH with three pumps operating. Minimum pump efficiency at the duty point shall be 83.4%.

The Proposer shall furnish all necessary parts and materials for the Grit Removal System to be installed by others. The successful Proposer must provide start-up services and operation and maintenance training.
The grit removal system provided in this proposal will consist of two (2) vortex grit removal systems to remove grit from raw wastewater and transport the grit to a storage hopper. Each grit removal system will be designed to accommodate flows less than or equal to 14 MGD per unit. The required removal efficiencies outlined in the technical specifications will be maintained at low flows. Collected grit will be washed and dewatered using an inclined screw conveyor system. The grit storage hopper and screw conveyor system will consist of two (2) self contained units. All stainless steel will be Type 316 unless specified otherwise.

Bowling Green Municipal Utilities (BGMU) is currently accepting proposals for a Turbo Blower System for the Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion and Renovation. The Proposer shall furnish all necessary parts and materials for the Turbo Blower System to be installed by others. The successful Proposer must provide start-up services and operation and maintenance training.
The blower system provided in this proposal will consist of four (4) turbo blowers to provide the air required to supply each of the four Phase I SBR basins. Each turbo blower system will be designed to accommodate summer airflow rates of 4,632 scfm (5,086 ICFM) and winter airflow rates of 4,938 scfm (4,647 ICFM) per blower. The required differential and inlet pressures per blower shall be 11.6 psi and 14.2 psi respectively, for the airflow rates listed above. The inlet air temperature shall range from 20oF to 100oF with a relative humidity range of 71% to 73%. Maximum horsepower per blower shall be 322 HP with a maximum design speed of 19,200 rpm and electrical requirements of 480 Volts, 3 phase, 60 Hertz. The enclosure for the blower shall be NEMA 4 (IP20) and include a noise reduction system that reduces noise levels to 80 dBA or below.
