REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

REQUEST NO. 2010-16

 

Bowling Green Municipal Utilities’ Water-Wastewater Division will retain a qualified engineering firm to provide planning and other required engineering services to supply a High Service pump at the Bowling Green Water Treatment Plant (W.T.P.) in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Sources of funding include, but are not limited to local funds.

 

SCOPE OF SERVICES

The scope of services shall include preliminary engineering phase, design phase, preconstruction phase, construction phase, post construction phase as required. Proposals shall be evaluated and ranked on the basis of the following considerations: 

 

1.      Overall Qualifications of the Firm.

  1. Experience and Availability of Qualified Personnel.
  2. Experience on Similar Projects.
  3. Location of Firm.
  4. Costs of Services.
  5. Familiarity with Project Requirements.
  6. References.
  7. Demonstration of Interest.
  8. Compliance with R.F.P. Instructions.

 

EVALUATION

Proposals will be ranked on the basis of written materials as set forth in the information packet. Each engineering consultant that submits a proposal shall be evaluated, ranked and assigned priority on the basis of the above criteria. Based on the rankings, Bowling Green Municipal Utilities shall contact the highest-ranked firm and attempt to negotiate a contract for a fair and reasonable value, pursuant to KRS 45A.750. This solicitation for Proposals is being conducted to fulfill state funding agency procurement requirements. BGMU is not responsible or liable for any costs incurred in responding to this request. 

 

SUBMITTALS

Proposals must be submitted to Bowling Green Municipal Utilities, 801 Center Street, Bowling Green, KY 42101 (Attn: Keith Williams).  Bowling Green Municipal Utilities reserves the right to reject any and all submittals.

 

Bowling Green Municipal Utilities (B.G.M.U.) will accept Proposals from interested engineering firms until 1:00 p.m. local time on September 2, 2010.

Nashville Road Lift Station Renovation

 

Sealed bids will be received by Bowling Green Municipal, Bowling Green Municipal Utilities, Bowling Green, Kentucky, at the Central Business Office at 801 Center Street until 2:00 PM local time on September 14, 2010.  Bids will be then after publicly opened and read aloud.

 

There will be a $100.00 Non refundable charge for each set of plans for this project.  Complete plan can be obtained at the BGMU Central Business Office at 801 Center Street Bowling Green, KY between the hours of 8:00am and 4:30pm CST.

 

All bids must be received in sealed envelopes marked “BID – NASHVILLE ROAD LIFT STATION RENOVATION” prior to the deadline listed above. The envelope should bear on the outside the name and address of the Offerer.  If forwarded by carrier, the sealed envelope containing the proposal must be enclosed in another envelope addressed to:
