To apply for service, come by our Customer Service Department located at 801 Center Street. We require that you show a valid picture I.D. We also require your social security number at time of application. During normal Utility business hours, there is a connection fee of $35.00 for electric and $30.00 for water/sewer services to be paid at time of application. After hours application fees are $60.00 per service and billed on the customerís next utility bill. Applicant must be 18 years of age or older. You must also bring a copy of your lease agreement at the time of application.
 
For commercial customers a deposit is required at time of application. The amount of the deposit (normally two months' average bill) varies depending upon the business' electrical load requirements. For more details, contact our Customer Service Supervisor.
Residential Security Deposit

New Customers -A security deposit may be required to establish service with BGMU. Deposits are three tiered ($0, one month average bill, and a two month average bill) based on a practical credit score rating.
